What this means
The overarching approach
Learning Through Play
Through purposeful play experiences, children develop language, early mathematical understanding, problem-solving skills, creativity and the ability to interact positively with others.
Our teachers observe how children play and know when to introduce a question, material or new idea to extend their thinking, and when to step back and allow the children to lead.
Learning area 1 of 6
Language and Literacy
Children develop confidence in English and their Mother Tongue through stories, conversations, songs and playful language experiences. They learn to listen, express their ideas and communicate meaningfully with others.
Learning area 2 of 6
Logical Mathematics
Children explore numbers, patterns, sorting, measurement, shapes and spatial relationships through games, construction and everyday problem-solving. Hands-on experiences help mathematical ideas become meaningful and easier to understand.
Learning area 3 of 6
Aesthetics and Creative Expression
Children communicate their ideas, feelings and imagination through art, music, movement and dramatic play. The focus is on creative exploration, enjoyment and self-expression rather than producing identical finished products.
Learning area 4 of 6
Discovery and Nature
Children observe, investigate and ask questions about nature and the world around them. Through experiences involving gardens, weather, animals and life cycles, they develop curiosity and learn to care for creation.
Learning area 5 of 6
Motor Sensory Integration
Children develop balance, coordination, body awareness and fine motor control through active play, movement and sensory experiences. Daily challenges help them become more confident, capable and independent.
Learning area 6 of 6
Social and Emotional Development
Children learn to recognise and manage their emotions, understand the feelings of others and build positive friendships. Through routines, play and relationships, they develop confidence, empathy and the ability to work well with others.
The foundation
Whole-Child Development, Grounded in Virtues
We nurture children as whole persons, helping them grow physically, cognitively, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
Every child develops at their own pace. Our teachers provide consistent encouragement and guidance while recognising each child’s individual strengths, needs and stage of development.
